Paclobutrazol is a plant growth retardant and triazole fundicide in a grayish-white powder or off-white liquid.

Application of Paclobutrazol
1. Paclobutrazol inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis and is involved in reducing abscisic acid, ethylene and indole-3-acetic acid while increasing cytokinin levels. It is used on fruit trees to inhibit vegetable growth and improve the fruit set, increase tillering on rice, reduce lodging, and retard growth on turf. Paclobutrazol protects plants against abiotic stresses such as drought stress.
2. Paclobutrazol protects crops against mildew and rusts.
